YT-602 is an RS-485 repeater, bus extension, and split hub (HUB) designed specifically to meet the requirements of RS-485 large systems in complex electromagnetic field environments. This product supports a transmission rate of up to 115.2KBPS. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of data communication, the RS-485 interface adopts photoelectric isolation technology to prevent lightning surges from being introduced into the converter and equipment. The built-in photoelectric isolator and 600W surge protection circuit can provide an isolation voltage of 2500V, effectively suppressing lightning and ESD, and effectively preventing lightning strikes and common ground interference, The power supply adopts an external switch power supply, which is safe and reliable, and is very suitable for outdoor engineering applications. In the RS-485 working mode, the discrimination circuit used can automatically sense the direction of the data flow, and automatically switch the enabling control circuit, easily solving the problem of RS-485 transmission and conversion delay. YT-602 RS-485HUB provides star shaped RS-485 bus connection and extension. Each port has short-circuit and open circuit protection. IV、 Warning and protection of RS-485 port failure
RS-485 port fault warning and protection is an effective method to solve the problem of connecting multiple RS-485 devices and enhancing their reliability. YT-602 has two lower computer ports, and each port has short-circuit protection function and can operate in shutdown mode. When any RS-485 port is short circuited, it will only affect the RS-485 bus system where it is located and will not affect the normal operation of the RS-485 system connected to other interfaces. Users can quickly determine the faulty port and other connected faulty devices based on the fault warning indicator light.
V、 Power supply, grounding, and lightning protection
The YT-602 converter can use a DC power supply device for power supply, with a supply voltage of DC9V-30V and a minimum current of 200mA. The randomly equipped power supply is a 12 volt DC power supply, and the red line of the power adapter is positive, while the white line is negative. Also, pay special attention not to reverse connect the power ground and signal ground. The ground at the output end cannot be connected to the ground at the input end.
All RS-485 interfaces of YT-602 have 600W lightning protection, which can effectively suppress lightning and ESD. In theory, users should be reliably grounded to ensure communication safety during use! However, in practical applications, it is difficult to achieve zero resistance (low resistance) grounding, and instead, grounding is prone to lightning strikes. So it is recommended that users do not connect to ground in actual use unless there is significant interference and normal communication cannot be achieved without grounding. If grounded, it must also be a single point grounding.
